So here’s a new layout featuring Eliza Dushku. I really like how it turned out. I also liked the coloring effect I got with the pictures. Hmmm. I think this one may be up for a while….

I watched American Outlaws last night. I didn’t expect it to be much of anything, but I was pleasantly surprised. Colin Farrell was yummy, and Ali Larter managed to not bother me in this one. I thought it was funny all the times when they would be robbing a bank and they would start arguing about the group name or whatnot.

You guys really like my mom! I was afraid to blog yesterday because I thought everyone would be disappointed that it was me and not my mom. But until she gets her own website, you’re stuck with me. Sorry.

I had a lovely mission trip. There are too many good things I could say about it, but I’m just too lazy. But I am grateful to be sleeping in my own bed and not on a deflated air mattress.

So in keeping up with my sites…. I redesigned Neon: the john mayer clique. Nothing special, but it was time for a change. I made an update to More Hunk. Oh, and there’s four new wallpapers here. You can see them in the recently section. It’s good to be home.

I had a busy day today. Tied up some loose ends – that’s always a good feeling. I stained some outdoor furniture and took advantage of the beautiful day to lounge by the pool. I think I will get back to my book tonight, I’ve sort of neglected it the last couple of days. Honestly, there are never enough hours in the day to do everything. But I always make time to do some reading. This house does not lack reading material, that’s for sure. And just to make sure I don’t run out of any, I joined a book club a few months ago!!! Fun! Fun! I highly recommend it.

Emma’s MOM here again!!!!

I heard from Emma’s Dad yesterday, she’s doing fine on her mission trip. Sorry I can’t remember what her “mission” is though. But I do understand she is doing a very good job of it!!! She may even be the best in her row!! or group!

For those of you who are impressed with my computer skills, well, I’m reading all the instructions off of some notes Emma left for me, plus she gave me a “hands on” lesson before she left!!!! I’m undoubtably the most computer illiterate person in this household. Oh well, I don’t think it was what I was put on this earth for anyway!!! My in-laws believe my calling is related to gold-digging but I love them anyway!!!!

Oddly enough I, Emma’s mother just came from bowling. Tonight is my summer league night. Not a very good night for me, but they can’ t all be can they. My high game was 181 and we don’t have to talk about my other 2 games do we?!? I still have the women’s high scratch game however, a 238. Not too bad. Our team is not doing very well but we do have a good time.
No movies to comment on tonight and nothing new in my CD player. I am intrigued by the suggestion to get the I Am Sam soundtrack.I just may need to check it out.

Well, it’s been a slice but my Ya Ya book is calling me. This computer thing is very part time for this mother!!!! You know I’ve also got the whole laundry thing, cooking and cleaning thing that goes on for myself too. Just not enough hours in the day!

But enough about me. Well it’s another quiet day without Emma (and her Dad). For those of you who don’t know Emma personally she really does bring a lot of life to this house. But I will survive!!!!

Audra and I just watched “I Am Sam” Tear. Great job Sean Penn. Oh and I think I’m also supposed to tell you what I’m reading, well it’s Ya Ya of course. I’ve seen the movie twice already. Tear. Tear. LOL, LOL. It’s a must see chick flick. Although the first time I saw it there was one male in the sold out theater, the second time there were three males sighted in the theater. You brave men You!!!!

Should I also be sharing what’s in my cd player right now. Well that would be Cat Stevens, Moody Blues, Clint Black, Boz Scaggs,Steely Dan and Chicago. Sorry, no Jimmy Eats World at the moment! And no I don’t burn my own Cd’s, I have a few talents but that is not one of them.

It’s past my bedtime but I promised I would post something at least every other day and while I realize the date may be the 25th, well I’m still up from the 24th so that will have to do!!!!

I spent last night and a large chunk of this afternoon making a carefully constructed mix cd. I even gave it a title- “Sha Sha.” There is actually a song on their called “Sha Sha.” Anways, I like the mix cd so much, I decided to share the list of songs with you all:

First Step- mission trip. Second Step- Hire assassins to take care of Barry Manilow and Neil Diamond. No really, I’m just kidding.

Speaking of Neil Diamond, I will be leaving all of you to my mother for the next week. Yes, my own mom will be guest-blogging here. You visitors will be in my prayers. Kidding, again. So please treat her nicely and leave lots of comments, like “God bless you for putting up with that Emma…”

I reorganized the wallpaper section, especially the wallpaper main page. I was trying to make it so I didn’t have so many pages with just one wallpaper on them, thought I still have a few.

Bowling league scores from yesterday: 127, 146, 131. My average is going up next week! Yay! I also bowled a practice game of 136, so I’m keeping it constant in that 120-150 range.

I was searching for some short, mindless reads last night. And to my delight, I found Miss Nelson is Missing. I had read this book many times when I was younger, and had recently forgotten the title. But there it was… on the bookshelf. An excellent read if you’re feeling a bit nastalgic.
