Word to a new site

Wihooo! I opened a new site… Cows Never Wrinkle, the Sean Gunn fanlisting. For those of you who don’t know who Sean is, he plays Kirk on Gilmore Girls. Also, the character Gunn on Angel was named after him and his brother. Well, don’t just sit there! Click!

It’s actually not that great. I wish I would have taken the time to make a better layout… but I can already redesign! Besides the obvious update to my new site, I also updated Under My Thumb, Official LR, and Turn Me On. Whew. I’m just a little updating machine today.

Ordered some pizza online tonight. Fun stuff. Was going to enjoy it with my sister, but she got invited to go out with her friend. So I ate it all by myself. Sadness. And fatness.

Word to Plaid Boy

Okay, so I really don’t have anything to blog about, so I’ve decided to blog about the boy I have a crush on. Hahaha. Well, I would have blogged about him earlier, but my parental units read this weblog, so I tried to stray away from things like this. Anyhoo, I’m not going to use his real name, but he has the largest array of plaid button-up shirts that I’ve ever seen, so I’m just going to refer to him as Plaid Boy.

I talked to Plaid Boy yesterday. I had made “Rocky Road Sandwich Cookies” for my Spanish class, but I had some extra. So inbetween classes, I asked him if he wanted one. Plaid Boy said no. I tried to convince him that eating these cookies would be so fantastic you could qualify it as a religious experience, but this got me no where. So I had to settle for a no and a smirk\smile. I don’t think he actually knows how to smile, so he just smirks. Boys. Sheesh.

Word to Easter

Happy Easter everyone! And for those who don’t celebrate it, Happy Sunday to you. I got up early-ish this morning and went to church in my new, size 12, dress. Then I came home and looked in my Easter basket to find a limited amount of candy (I asked for less\none this year), and The Mighty Ducks DVD Box Set. Score! Now I can watch Joshua Jackson play hockey anytime I want! Hehehe.

I stayed up late last night… until about midnight… or a little after. But I stayed up late so I could eat some chocolate at midnight. I had some chocolate gem donuts and some just-plain-regular-milk-chocolate. Good stuff, but I was a little sick when I went to bed. I feel like I’m “above” chocolate now, because I don’t feel that I need to have it all the time like I used to.

While I was up late last night, I watched The Man in the Moon on Bravo. I didn’t feel I should write a “movie review” for my junk page section because I didn’t actually watch the whole thing, but I did enjoy the last hour of it that I saw. Reese Witherspoon was adorable when she was younger, and Jason London was surprisingly good. I definetely thing his career just got worse as he went on, i.e. Out Cold. And I always get him mixed up with Jeremy London. But can you blame me? They’re twin brothers.

Also, I updated The Buffy Bash and Crush today. Well, that’s it. Happy Easter.

Word to weight loss

I’m a size 12. I’m a size 12. I’m a size 12. I’m a size 12. I’m a size 12. I’m a size 12. I’m a size 12. I’m a size 12. I’m a size 12. I’m a size 12. I’m a size 12. I’m a size 12. I’m a size 12. I’m a size 12. I’m a size 12. I’m a size 12.

Yippeeeeeeeeee. I’m a size 12. Just for reference, I was a size 16 at my, heh, “peak.” My mother took my sisters and I shopping today for an Easter outfit and I was a size 12!!! Ahahahahahahaha. I’m skinny now! Just kidding. Well, I guess running almost everyday does help…

So I guess a lot of people agree with me about the “John Mayer” thing. Well, today I went out and bought Coldyplay’s A Rush of Blood To The Head. And just to get the record straight, I’m a pretty new Coldplay fan. I actually didn’t really like them at first, but I’ve come around. But I will never shriek at the sound of Chris Martin’s name. Never.

Word to The Buffy Bash

So The Buffy Bash is finally re-opened, without a few sections of content. But I’m working on that. And I added a new wallpaper to Under My Thumb. Oooh, and I received an email today saying that I got approved to do the Sean Gunn fanlisting. Yay for me.

Warning…. ranting lies ahead.

Okay, so I was at school this Wednesday, and I overhead this conversation. It was this girl who was talking about the Jason Mraz concert this weekend. I believe it was last night or the night before. Anyhoo, this girl was wayyyyy excited about Jason Mraz. And yeah, I like Jason Mraz, but this annoys me considering he’s pretty new… like really really new. And this girl is one of those “trend whores.” And sure, I should be glad that the popular music is looking more towards the John Mayers and Good Charlottes of the world, but it makes me angry that every makeup-obsessed girl at my school shrieks at the sound of John Mayer. I guess I just feel territorial. I listened to John Mayer before he blew up. And I don’t want to share my John or my Howie Day with the trend whores. Well, hopefully Howie won’t blow up and I can keep him all to myself. Does anyone else feel this way?

Also, I changed some of the stuff in the left column and added some new movie reviews. But I didn’t change the featured link, because Rachel still rocks.

Word to me!

Yesterday I felt pretty ugly. And I kind of dressed up- skirt, nice shirt, dressy shoes… and I got a few compliments about how I looked yesterday as well. “Emma! You look hot!” was one of them…. just kidding. But despite that, it was just one of those days where I didn’t want to see myself in the mirror at all. But today I was like “Yeah, I’m pretty cute today…” Eh. I’m weird like that.

I’m very frustrated with myself right now. Everytime I make a new layout for The Buffy Bash, I love it, and then I work on all the content, and before I put the new layout up, I completely hate it. That’s why it’s not up now, and before that it wasn’t updated very often. Grrrrr. Why can’t I just make a good layout and stick with it?

Also of note, I watched an educational video on Marie Antoinette today in history. I found it hilarious that just because she wasn’t have sex with her husband, the public assumed she was having sex with everyone else. They even accused her of incest. Ewww. Glad I’m not a queen.

Word to Mother Teresa

I went to go see my mono-stricken friend Alyssa today. I went out beforehand and bought her a get well card as well as a random teeny bopper magazine full of pictures of very, very attractive men. I knew she’d enjoy it, plus it’s pretty brainless entertainment. And there was a huge pull-out poster of Paul Walker. Score!

So I’m really going to stop it with the Cherry Coke temptation this week. As most Catholics will know, it’s Holy Week. So everytime I pass the machine in the hall, I’ll just chant “Holy Week. Holy Week. Holy Week.” And hope that it works.

I’m really not trying to make this a religious post, but I was at church today, as I’m known to do on Sundays, and we were talking about Jesus and how he washed all the apostle’s feet. We were trying to bring the story into “modern times.” And one of the teachers asked me how I would react if the Mother Teresa walked in and asked to wash my feet. I said that I would tell her to “go for it.” Y’know, if she was still alive.

Errrm… I updated some sites today….. Crush, Turn Me On, and Under My Thumb are all recently updated. Well, that’s about it.

Word to movies

I don’t really have anything to post about. But my friend Alyssa is very, very sick. She went to the emergency room last night with a 102 degree temperature and they diagnosed her with mono. Sure, it will go away in a while, but I just feel bad because I’m all happy and healthy and she’s just at home right now feeling like complete crap. Plus, I didn’t have a friend to play with this weekend! Ah well. I just hope she gets better.

I watched quite a lot of movies of the past two days. The long, long list of them includes: Dave, Anywhere But Here, Where the Heart Is, Family Business, Casper, Wing Commander, Mighty Ducks, Encino Man, That Night, The Glass House, Everyone Says I Love You, one of the Star Trek movies (I’m not familiar enough with them to tell which one it was), Big Daddy, and Anaconda. Granted, I only really watched about 15 minutes of each film seeing as I was channel surfing between all of them. Can you tell I was a little bored? Well, that’s about it for today. I don’t expect many comments as this was not an eventful post. I’m working on a better one for next time…

But I am a little surprised that no one commented on the last post and offered to take me to prom. I thought someone would…

Word to scatterbrain Emma

I’m in a funk. I can’t get myself to concentrate on any one thing for more than twenty minutes. I’m even losing interest in posting this. Gahhhhhh. Well, here’s a random list of observations:

1. What’s with those girls at school…. you know those girls who cake on makeup and take out there mirror ever five seconds to make sure it’s all perfect? What the heck are you dressing up for? It’s school. Hmmmm, I usually stay away from these kinds of people, but we had an assembly today and all of the girls like that kind of congregated together in front of me.

2. Pizza is good. Yeah, I like pizza. I’m having pizza for dinner tonight, come to think of it.

3. I can’t wait to go to Prom next year. I was looking at my friend Lauren’s pictures, and she was all dressed up. She looked so cute and happy and her date was adorable. Which brings me to another question…. anyone want to take me to Prom? Let me know in the comments. Ahahahaha.

4. Winn, that’s gross. Don’t ever make out in my park again.

5. I lost my book! I was reading Steve Martin’s Shopgirl, and I’m almost to the end, and I misplaced it somewhere in my house, and now I have nothing to read. But the problem is really that I can’t get myself to go and look for it. It’s probably right under my nose.

6. I watched a movie last night- The Salton Sea, starring Val Kilmer. In the movie he had a mohawk, wore eyeliner, and got high a lot. But it’s Val Kilmer, so I had to watch. Was a weird movie. Good, but weird. Nicola, you’d probably enjoy this one because of how screwed up it is.

7. Cherry Coke is my weakness. I’ve had one or two this week already. Thank goodness they’re already sold out in the soda machines so I don’t have to worry about that mishap again.

I think that’s the end of my random observations. Hopefully I’ll have a coherent thought by the next time I post. Please comment. Comments make me happy.

Word to parks

Today I spent the afternoon at the park. My mother, younger sister, her friend Sarah Beth, and I all went. I walked a total of 3 miles, and in that I probably ran about a mile’s worth. Then I sat in the middle of the playground watching all the little kids play. And when I went to the swings I met a little girl whose name was also Emma. She was probably 5, and she had thick, thick curly brown hair, just like me. Little Emma was just the cutest thing.

But there was some other stuff happening at the park- like this couple who were laying on the side of the walking track making out. I think the only thing keeping them from having sex was the fact that it was a public park. And the park is situated on the side of a very busy street, so they obviously had to drive there, couldn’t they be making out in their car instead? C’mon.

There was some pretty good TV on last night. The Mighty Ducks was on WGN. ABC aired a new episode of The Bachelor. And on MTV, there was two new episodes of Sorority Life\Fraternity Life. Not to mention that Nick at Night was having a Wings marathon! Score! I forgot how much I loved that show. And it used to come on in the mornings a couple summers ago, but they stoped airing it, so I’m glad it’s sort of back. Well, that’s all for today.
