Word to April

What a funny name for a building.I had a pretty fantastic April. And when I say fantastic, I mean SUPER. During the month of April I visited Atlanta and met a very special celebrity by the name of Rachel. I ran a 5K in Columbia, Tennessee. I attended the best birthday party for a 13 year old since the history of time. I played my very first game of DDR. (And if you know what I’m talking about… great. If you don’t, I’m not going to explain).

So yeah, April was pretty awesome. And it probably seems a bit more awesome than it actually was because I am reluctant to start May. Hehe. Reluctant… as if I have a choice in the matter. I don’t like exams. I doubt you’ll find anyone that does. But hopefully they will be over before I know it.

Word to Omar

Celebrity Crazy of the Day:  Omar Epps.  He’s running for president in the 2008 election as an independent.  His running mate?  Non other than his Mod Squad co-star Claire Danes.  Way to go wack-o.

Well, I guess all those fans from House will come in handy.

Atlanta

I’m looking forward to the weekend something fierce!

Word to glasses*

This past weekend I left my eyeglasses case at my parents house. So this week I have actually been wearing my eyeglasses all the time like I am supposed to be doing in the first place.

I’m pretty sure I don’t look any smarter. And I’m also getting even less attention from boys (as if that was even possible). Thank goodness I can end this madness on Friday when I go to Target and purchase a new eyeglass case with the giftcard the Easter Bunny left me.

*Okay, so in all honesty this was the best I could do. I was going to have a picture of my new haircut for my post today, but monsoon season unexpectedly hit Knoxville today so I didn’t go. Sorry!

Word to Mad About You

I am so jazzed about syndicated Mad About You on Nick at Night. I mean, where else will you see such a gloriously kept Mad About Youmullet like that of cousin Ira? Where else can you hear a theme song as fabulous as “The Final Frontier”?

I’ve been a little disappointed in the Lifetime network since they started playing reruns of Will & Grace instead of Mad About You. But now Nick at Night has saved me!

Mad About You fact of the day: John Pankow’s (Ira) brother plays trombone for Chicago! He’s also married to Joyce Summers.

It's Here! It's Here!

And by it, I mean Suri.  Commence apocalypse!

Word to Easter

Post Lent Cake I hope everyone had a good Easter. I know I did… I baked! Chocolate was just as delicious as I remembered. Soda was not as delicious as I remembered, but I’m sure that I will get over that very soon. I tried some of Audra’s full-on Coke, and woah! So much sugar.

I also took the opportunity over the weekend to raid my parent’s CD collection. I ripped Eddie Money, INXS, and Bryan Adams, just to name a few. I mean, who doesn’t need some Bryan Adams on their iPod?

Word to simple

I was at work the other day talking about something or other when one of my fellow baristas said to Serenityme: “Emma, I wish I enjoyed the simple things in life like you do.” This was an obvious yet light-hearted slam at my lack of social life. And my immediate reply was: “Well, I have very little in my life.” But that is absolutely not true. I mean, for starters, there’s my completely awesome family. And right now there’s my Lenten struggle with chocolate and soda. I also have my biweekly viewing of Serenity. (I’m a leaf on the wind… watch how I soar!). In addition I also have my 5K’s/running goals, classes, exams, my job, and whatever movie is coming out this Friday.

So yeah, I don’t have a special boy in my life. But I’m not about to go partying every weekend and compromising my… ermmm… super conservative nature in order to meet one. That’s just not my style. And as I told my father in regards to that special boy back when I was young… “he has to find me.”

Word to Rosemary's Baby

I’ve been having a hard time coming up with things to post about. And I don’t think I’ll have much luck next week either. It’s just so hard with like 12 exams all in a row. But I’m starting to think I probably won’t need to study for any of them. I mean, really, does it really even matter what I do with the impending apocalypse and all?
