The Orange Team

Very sick on my last week of work before starting my new job.  Thank goodness I have a wide range of orange items to help me fight this cold.

Gratuitous braid post

Goddess braid

I’m really into the goddess braid right now. It’s helping me cope with my hair’s negative reaction to city water.

I really would love a new camera

You know, one that doesn’t do weird things with eyes.

Done with School

Emma Runs on Dunkin'

Being done with school has given me ample time to work on my photobooth skills.

Me & Siblings at Harpoon Brewery

And what do you know? I’m 24 now. I haven’t been home for a few birthdays in a row, this one being no exception. But I was blessed to have not 1, not 2, but all 3 of my siblings come visit me for my birthday.

Beer TowerSome of the highlights of the trip were:

  • Getting a beer tower
  • Getting a tour of the Harpoon Brewery in Boston (courtesy of my boyfriend!)
  • Going to Martha’s Vineyard
  • Falling asleep on the beach
  • Getting an awkward sunburn from falling asleep on the beach

I love you Maura, Allen, and Audra!

Freaking Out a Little Less

I’m freaking out a little less now. Rome wasn’t built in a day. Still so much to be happy about!

Freaking Out

P1010836

I’m usually pretty good about stressing myself out over things that will eventually work themselves out despite my overstressing.  But right now I am overstressing.  I don’t know what/who/where I will be in a month.  I am officially freaking out.  Alright, back to the mountain of work I have to do.

Witchy

Cocktails of course

Went to Salem last Saturday to visit my old roommate. In the words of Andrew Thomas Cole, it was adorbs. I got my tarot cards read for the first time. Verdict? I should eat more bananas and drink less coffee. Well, the last part I already knew, but I didn’t think the tarot card reading would turn into a nutrition consultation. No matter, I still had the best time ever.

Emma and Becky at the Wedding Expo

Limo!

Starved for alternative forms of entertainment, my friend Becky and I went to the wedding expo today at Twin River Casino.  Since Becky is the only one of us who is in a relationship, she got to be “the bride.”  When asked about her wedding date, she randomly chose October 23, 2012, which is a Tuesday.  (BTW, you can get crazy deals if you get married on a Tuesday… but then, it’s a Tuesday.)

While in general I had a great time, I do have a few complaints about the expo.

1.  The dresses were crap.

Crap dresses

2.  The DJ circuit has not yet entered this decade.

Today's Technology! Yesterday's Prices!!!

3.  I gave up dessert for Lent, so the only foods I could sample was a meatball and a lobster mac-n-cheese ball.  Both delicious, but I don’t plan on having any “ball” foods at my wedding.

4.  No mimosas.  What is this, amateur hour?

But you guys… I think I found my wedding dress.  I seriously think I would look great in this.  (Talk about cart before the horse, but that’s alright…)

I found my wedding dress

Ahhhhh, too much fun.  I need another friend to get married once I have a job (and thus income) so I can actually do it right this time.
